Clean-Up Week 2022

Clean-up week begins at 8 A.M., May 2nd, 2022, and ends at 7 P.M. Saturday, May 7th, 2022.

Roll-off containers will be located at the Convenience Station site. You are asked to carry all debris, old appliances, limbs, bagged leaves, and other junk to these containers. When loading your debris, please sort your items into limbs and branches, metal, and other like debris for easier unloading at the Convenience Station site.

Residents are asked to remove all debris from their alleyways and by their dumpsters. This will allow access to emergency vehicles and the trash truck. The City will document any debris remaining in the alleys after clean up, creating an obstacle to emergency vehicles with the proper authorities, and citations may be issued.

No tires will be accepted at the curbside. You may take tires to the Convenience Station; however, the following fees, including taxes, will apply:

Passenger Tires without rims: $4 / each
Passenger Tires with rims: $10 / each
Tractor Tires without rims: $25 / each
Tractor Tires with rims: $50 / each

Over-the-Road Heavy Equipment Tire: $75 / each

XL Over-the-Road Heavy Equipment Tire: $150 / each

Items NOT collected during Clean-Up Week:

Batteries

Paint

Cement

THE CITY CREW WILL MAKE ONE PICK-UP OF CURBSIDE TRASH BEGINNING MONDAY, MAY 2nd, 2022. PICK UP WILL CEASE AT 7 P.M., SATURDAY, MAY 7th, 2022.

THE CITY DOES NOT GUARANTEE PICK UP OF ALL CURBSIDE DEBRIS. WE WILL PICK UP WHAT WE CAN AS TIME PERMITS.

It is advisable that you not pile large amounts on the curbs but take them to the Convenience Station. Trash left curbside after Saturday, May 7th, 2022, will be your responsibility to remove. Anything placed by the curb must be sorted as to metal, debris, or limbs and branches.

DO NOT MIX ITEMS.

NOTE: The City crew may pick-up metal one day and other items another day. This is why everything must be curbside early Monday, May 2nd, 2022. If you see the City truck drive past your house and not stop, they could be picking up the metal that day.

Do not put items out after 8 A.M., Saturday, May 7th, but take them to the convenience station instead.

An attendant will be on duty at all hours the convenience station is open.
Please save these instructions for future reference.

DO NOT CALL CITY HALL. NO PICK-UP LIST WILL BE MADE DURING CLEAN-UP WEEK.

We urge you to get rid of as much debris as you can at this time. When it is not clean-up week, the City only picks up curbside if you have called to be put on the pick-up list and as personnel permits and then, only bagged leaves, a small number of limbs, and reasonable debris that has been cleared through Public Works Director K.C. Blassingame.
