Notice of Public Hearing Regarding Special Use Permit

CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OLNEY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Olney will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 201 East Main Street, Olney, Texas, to receive comments regarding a proposed SPECIAL USE PERMIT request from the Olney Hamilton Hospital.

The City Council of the City of Olney is considering a Special Use Permit in the area of the proposed site of the new medical facility. The properties of the proposed Special Use Permit are located on the North side of Hamilton Street from Avenue M. to 806 West Hamilton. The primary purpose of the Special Use Permit request is to provide for the construction of the new medical facility which is currently in an area zoned for R-1, Residential only.

All interested parties are encouraged to attend the Public Hearing to express comments regarding the proposed Special Use Permit request from the Olney Hamilton Hospital.
